At Rijai, we are inspired to highlight a wide collective of voices that are often not heard, especially in art, culture, and music. We partnered with our friends at POV Arabia to platform a rising Palestinian multimedia artist by creating an exclusive T-shirt with all proceeds going back to the artist so that he can reinvest it in his craft. POV Arabia’s feature “Future of the Free” delves into how Karim Farekh reimagines the future of Palestinian youth through freedom and identity that breaks the constraints of current and historical generalizations around a culture and country disenfranchised by politics.

Currently, Karim Farekh lives between Florence, Italy and Dubai, UAE. His work explores what it means to be Palestinian, the concept of forcibly lost heritage, drawing deeply from personal experiences and diverse influences. He is most notable for producing and directing evocative fashion films and music videos as well as photo editorials that strikingly reflect the cultural narrative through his unique perspective. His art aims to illuminate the complexities of identity and memory in an ever-evolving, rapidly changing world.
